Our take: A fit when the door job comes with windows or glass, such as impact glass for a front entry, rather than a stuck patio slider.

How the ranking numbers are built

Rating is the business’s live Google star average. Review volume is how many customers have rated it, compared with the others on this page. Confidence weighs the rating by that volume, so a 4.8 from hundreds of customers carries more weight than a 5.0 from a few. Recency reflects how recently customers are still leaving reviews. No business can pay to change these numbers.

What changes the price of a door repair

No company here publishes a rate card, so this page lists no prices. For sliding doors, the bill depends on the size and weight of the panels, whether they are impact glass, how many rollers and how much track work is involved, and whether a lock, screen or weatherstripping is replaced at the same visit. Ask for a quote before the technician starts.

Door repair near you

These companies are based in Fort Lauderdale, Hollywood and Oakland Park, and Sliding Doors Pro and JDM both list service across Broward County. If you’re searching for door repair near me in Fort Lauderdale, each listing shows a phone number and map link.

What to ask before booking a door repair

  • Do you work on impact-glass sliding doors, and have you done my brand before?
  • Will you replace all the rollers or only the worn ones?
  • Is the quote flat-rate, and does it include the lock, screen or weatherstripping?
  • How many technicians will come for a large or heavy door?
  • Do you service entry doors or only sliding and patio doors?

Frequently asked questions

Who repairs impact-glass sliding doors in Fort Lauderdale?

Sliding Doors Pro has a reviewer who had eight impact sliding doors with 12-foot, 400-pound panels repaired by a crew of five, and another whose PGT sliding glass doors were restored. Confirm your door’s brand before booking.

Which of these companies work on entry doors?

The entry-door work in the reviews comes from All Window & Door Repairs Inc, where one customer had a front door replaced with impact glass. Sliding Doors Pro, JDM and Sliding Doors Express describe sliding, patio and pocket door repair, so ask any company whether it takes your kind of door.

Can a sliding door repair be done on the same day?

JDM’s site advertises same-day or next-day visits, and a Sliding Doors Pro reviewer had a slider fixed the day they called. Availability changes, so ask when you phone.

Why would a sliding door be hard to open in a coastal home?

JDM’s site names the rollers as almost always the cause, because they carry the full weight of the panel. One Sliding Doors Pro customer who lives by the ocean said the crew used quality parts, since salt air rusts hardware.

Choosing a door repairer

For heavy or impact-glass sliders, Sliding Doors Pro has reviewers describing heavy and impact-glass panels, and JDM is a solid pick for an ordinary stiff or noisy slider. If the job involves windows or an impact front door, call All Window & Door Repairs. Get the quote in writing before work starts.
