How to read the scorecard

Every figure on this page is drawn from public Google data on the date shown. Rating is the live Google star average. Review volume is how many customers have rated the company, compared with other Merced plumbers. Confidence weighs the rating by that volume, which is why a 4.8 from hundreds of reviews carries more weight than a 5.0 from a few dozen. Recency reflects how recently customers still post reviews. No business can pay to change these numbers.

What drives plumbing prices in Merced? (2026)

Plumbing prices in Merced depend on the type of job, how hard the pipe or fixture is to reach, whether the visit is after hours and what parts are needed. A clogged sink, a water heater replacement and a sewer main repair are priced very differently. The reviews we read do not give a reliable price list, so ask each plumber for a written quote before work starts and whether after-hours calls carry a premium.

Where these plumbers work

These plumbers work from Merced, with one company based in Atwater and one with no street address listed. Johnson Plumbing’s website also names Turlock, Valley Plumbing Pros names Modesto and Stockton, and Dutchman Drains names Chowchilla and southern Stanislaus County. Searching for a plumber near me? Each card has a phone number so you can confirm your address is covered.

What to ask before hiring a plumber

Are you licensed in California, and can you give me the license number?
Is the quote flat-rate or hourly, and what does a service call cost?
Do after-hours or weekend calls cost more?
Do you warranty parts and labor on a repair or a water heater install?
Will you give me the estimate in writing before work begins?
