How the scores work

Every number on this page comes from public Google data on the date shown, not from opinion or payment. Rating is the live Google star average. Review volume is how many customers have rated the company, compared with other HVAC contractors we found. Confidence weighs the rating by that volume, so a 4.8 from hundreds of people counts for more than a 5.0 from a few dozen. Recency reflects how recently customers are still leaving reviews. No business can pay to change these numbers.

What drives HVAC prices in Palm Desert

The companies here don’t publish prices in the data we reviewed, so we’re not showing a rate table. Cost depends on whether you need a diagnostic, a part such as a capacitor, a full system replacement or a ductless install, plus the size and age of your unit, rooftop or ground access, and whether the visit is after hours. Some customers note that a diagnostic fee can apply per unit, so ask what the visit fee covers and get any larger quote in writing.

HVAC help around the Coachella Valley

All of these HVAC companies have Palm Desert addresses. First Choice’s site names Palm Desert, La Quinta and Rancho Mirage, and a customer of Assured describes an emergency repair in Indio. Looking for an AC repair near me? Each card shows a phone number and directions, and several companies list online booking on Google.

What to ask before hiring an HVAC company

  • Is there a diagnostic fee, and is it charged per unit?
  • Can you come the same day for a failed AC?
  • Will you give a written quote for a replacement with equipment details?
  • What does your maintenance plan include, and does it cover priority service?
  • Are the technicians licensed and the work permitted?
  • What warranty comes with parts and labor?

Frequently asked questions

Which of these HVAC companies offer same-day repair?

Reviewers describe same-day visits at All Seasons (booked the afternoon the AC died), Breeze, and All Day. A First Choice reviewer was seen at 7:30 AM the next morning. Availability changes with demand, so call early in the day.

Do any of these companies offer maintenance plans?

Reviewers mention an All Seasons membership, a Breeze annual service program, a First Choice maintenance plan and an All Day maintenance program. Ask what each plan costs and whether it includes priority scheduling.

Who installs mini splits, ductless systems and heat pumps?

A Breeze reviewer describes a ductless install, and First Choice lists ductless service on its site and has a reviewer with a new heat pump. An Assured reviewer had a mini split installed in a garage.

Can I get plumbing or water heater work from the same company?

All Seasons is tagged as a plumber on Google, and one reviewer describes a major gas-line re-pipe. All Day’s site lists water heaters among its services.

The short version

All Seasons is the safest default on track record, Breeze is the pick for weekend hours and annual service, and Assured is worth a call when you want a second opinion before replacing a unit. Whoever you call, get the quote in writing.
