How the scores work

Every number on this page comes from public Google data on the date shown. Rating is the live Google star average. Review volume is how many customers have rated the business, compared with other Salinas movers we found. Confidence weighs the rating by that volume, so a 4.8 from hundreds of people carries more weight than a 5.0 from a dozen. Recency reflects how recently people are still reviewing. No business can pay to change these numbers.

What moving costs depend on in Salinas

None of the sites we read publishes a price list, so we don’t offer a cost table. Price depends on the size of the home, the distance, stairs and access at both ends, packing, and whether the move is local or interstate. Reviewers mention both estimates and a final price, so ask for a written estimate that says whether it is binding.

Moving around Salinas and Monterey County

Southbay Moving Systems and Poulos Moving Systems list Salinas addresses, while Mod Movers works from Marina and says it serves Monterey and the Central Coast. Southbay’s site also lists Monterey, San Benito, Fresno, Madera, Merced and San Joaquin counties. Searching for movers near you in Salinas? Call and give both street addresses so they can quote the trip.

What to ask before you book movers

  • Is the estimate binding, and what could change the final price?
  • Are you licensed and insured for the distance of my move?
  • Who packs, who loads, and who handles the paperwork?
  • Can you move heavy items, stairs or a piano?
  • What happens if the date has to change?
