Our take: A fit when mold is part of a bigger loss, such as a pipe burst that soaked several rooms. For a mold-only problem, ask how many mold jobs the local crew handles.

Our take: A sound pick when you want an inspector to look at a damp or suspect area before anyone starts removing anything. For the removal itself, ask what mold jobs the company has done.

Behind the scorecards

The scorecards use public Google data on the date shown. Rating is the live star average, review volume is how many customers have rated the business, and confidence weighs the rating by that volume so a few reviews can’t carry a perfect score. Recency shows how recently people are still posting. Nobody can pay to change these numbers.

What shapes a mold removal bill in Fort Lauderdale

Mold jobs vary widely, and the businesses here don’t advertise set prices. The size of the affected area, whether drywall or flooring must come out, whether the cause (a leak, a failed AC drain) gets repaired first, and whether testing is done before and after all move the number. Ask for a written scope that separates testing, removal and rebuild.

Service areas for mold work

SERVPRO of Ft. Lauderdale South and RMI Services Corporation list Fort Lauderdale addresses, and RMI’s site names Hollywood, Coral Springs, Pompano Beach and Boca Raton as areas it serves. Call A&B Inc. to confirm that your address is in range. Searching for mold removal near me? Each listing carries a phone number and map link.

What to ask a mold remediation company

  • Will you find and fix the source of the moisture before cleaning the mold?
  • Is testing done before and after, and who performs it?
  • What containment will you set up so spores and dust stay in the work area?
  • Is the quote written, and does it separate removal from rebuild?
  • How long will the work take and when can we move back in?
