How to read the scorecards

Each scorecard shows the company’s live Google star average, how many people have rated it, a confidence figure that weighs the rating by that volume, and how recently customers have been leaving reviews. A 4.8 from hundreds of reviews carries more weight than a 5.0 from a few.

What shapes the cost of a bathroom remodel in Albuquerque

Bathroom remodel prices swing widely with size, materials and how much plumbing or wall work is involved. A tub-to-shower swap costs less than a full gut job, and tile, fixtures and accessibility features move the total. We haven’t cited local price ranges, so ask for an itemized written quote from each company.

Where these remodelers are based

The companies here have addresses on Alameda NE, Bogan Ave NE, Pan American Fwy NE, Candelaria Rd NE and 1st St NW in Albuquerque. Sandia Marble’s site also lists Santa Fe and Rio Rancho, and Home Pros Remodeling’s site lists several New Mexico counties. If you’re searching for a bathroom remodeler near me, each listing has a phone number to check that your address is covered.

What to ask before you hire a bathroom remodeler

  • Is the quote itemized, and does it include demolition, plumbing and disposal?
  • How long until materials arrive, and how long is the job once it starts?
  • Who does the work, your own crew or subcontractors?
  • How do you protect the rest of the house from dust?
  • What does the warranty cover, and who do I call if something fails?
  • Can you handle accessibility features such as grab bars or a curbless shower?

Frequently asked questions

Who in Albuquerque does walk-in or accessible showers?

Reviews of Home Modification Solutions, LLC mostly describe walk-in showers and an ADA bathroom renovation, and its site focuses on accessibility and aging in place. Prime Baths of New Mexico and Next Level Restoration and Remodel LLC also have reviewers describing a tub replaced with a walk-in or large shower.

How long does a bathroom remodel take once work starts?

It depends on the job. Reviewers describe a one-day install and a two-day tub-to-shower job at Prime Baths, about a week for two bathrooms at Home Pros Remodeling, and three days for a shower replacement at Sandia Marble. Material lead times can be longer, with one Home Pros reviewer waiting eight to ten weeks.

Can I just replace a vanity top or shower surround?

Yes. Sandia Marble reviewers describe quartz bathroom vanity tops and a shower surround replaced with cultured marble, and Prime Baths reviewers describe tub and shower replacements without a full gut remodel.

Should I expect a phone quote or an in-home estimate?

Practices differ. Home Modification Solutions reviewers describe a bidding process with a remodel specialist, Next Level reviewers mention an estimator presenting options, and one Prime Baths reviewer was given a ballpark over the phone first. Ask each company how it prices before you book a visit.

Choosing your remodeler

Home Modification Solutions, LLC is a sensible first call on rating and review volume, especially for accessible showers. For a cultured marble surround or a vanity top, Sandia Marble is worth a call. Whoever you pick, get the scope and the schedule in writing.
