Welcome to Best In Hood. These terms cover your use of www.bestinhood.com (the "site") and anything you buy from us. By using the site or paying for a listing, you agree to them. If you do not agree, please do not use the site.

Who we are

Best In Hood is operated by Omni Home Ideas LLC, a Wyoming limited liability company, 1309 Coffeen Avenue, STE 14505, Sheridan, WY 82801, USA. In these terms, "we", "us" and "our" mean Omni Home Ideas LLC. "You" means the person using the site or buying from us, and the business you act for.

What the site is

Best In Hood is a directory of local businesses. Our pages are called "Best {service} in {city}", for example "Best Plumbers in Houston". Each page lists a small number of businesses with their details.

Ratings and review counts shown on our pages come from Google. We never edit them. Some businesses on our pages have paid for a listing with us. Those businesses are marked "Featured Partner". The Premium Listing buys the top spot on a page; the Priority Listing buys the second spot. How we choose and order businesses is explained on our Review Process page.

Using the site

You may read and share our pages for your own use. You may not:

  • copy, republish, sell or rent our content in bulk, or present it as your own
  • use automated tools to scrape the site in a way that harms it or loads it heavily
  • try to break, overload or get around the site's security
  • use the site for anything unlawful

Accuracy of information

We work to keep our pages correct, but business details change. Opening hours, prices, phone numbers and services can change without notice to us. We do not promise that every detail is complete, correct or up to date. Please check important details with the business directly before you rely on them.

Our pages help you compare businesses. They are not professional advice. Pages about health, legal or money topics are general information only.

If you see something wrong about your own business, you can ask us to fix it with the Update your business form or by email.

Links to other websites

Our pages link to business websites and other sites we do not run. We are not responsible for their content, products, prices or privacy practices. A link is not an endorsement of everything on that site.

Listings and payments

What we sell

All prices are in US dollars (USD).

  • Basic Listing, $50, one time. Your business is listed on a relevant Best In Hood page, with a dofollow link to your website. There is nothing to renew.
  • Premium Listing, $100 for one year. Your business holds the #1 spot on a page for one year, with a dofollow link to your website.
  • Priority Listing #2, $75 for one year. Your business holds the #2 spot on a page for one year, with a dofollow link to your website.
  • Premium Listing + New City Page, $150 for the first year. We build a page that does not exist yet (a new city or a new service) and place your business at #1 for one year, with a dofollow link to your website. If the exact page cannot be filled with enough real businesses, we build the closest relevant page instead.
  • Guest posts and link insertions, sold by email at the price we quote.

How long a listing lasts

  • The dofollow link on any paid listing is permanent, for as long as the page it is on stays live. It does not expire when a paid year ends.
  • The #1 spot (Premium) and the #2 spot (Priority) last for one year from the date the listing is published. When the year ends, the business stays listed with its link, but the spot is no longer held for it.

Renewals

Renewing is your choice. We never charge you automatically.

  • Before a paid year ends, we email you a renewal notice.
  • If you want to keep the spot, you pay the renewal price. If you do not pay, nothing is charged and the held spot ends.
  • Renewal prices: Premium Listing $100 per year; Priority Listing #2 $75 per year; Premium Listing + New City Page renews as a Premium Listing at $100 per year.
  • We may change prices for future renewals. The price in your renewal notice is the price that applies.

Guest posts and link insertions

  • A guest post is published permanently.
  • A guest post must be at least 700 words, original, and not purely promotional.
  • We do not publish content about gambling, casinos, betting or CBD.
  • We agree the topic with you first, and you pay after we approve it.
  • A link insertion adds a link into an article that is already published, for a one time fee.

Paying

You can pay by PayPal or by card. Card payments are processed by Stripe. We never see or store your full card number. Your card statement will show BESTINHOOD.

We start work after payment arrives. Once your listing is live, we email you the page address.

What you promise us

When you order a listing, you confirm that:

  • you are allowed to act for the business you are listing
  • the details you send us are true and not misleading
  • the website you want linked is yours or your client's, and it is lawful
  • any logo, photo or text you send us is yours to use, or you have permission to use it

We may make small formatting or grammar fixes before publishing. We will not make a material change to your text without your approval.

Listings we can decline or remove

We may decline an order, or remove a listing, if the business, its website or its content is unlawful, misleading, or off topic for the page (for example, a business that does not offer the service the page is about). We may also remove a link to a website that has been hacked or now carries harmful content, until it is fixed.

If we decline an order before publishing, we refund you in full. If we remove a paid listing by our own choice during a paid year, and the reason is not something you did wrong, we refund the unused part of that year.

Refunds

  • Before publication: if your listing has not been published yet, you can cancel and get a full refund.
  • After publication: once your listing is published, there is no refund.
  • When the error is ours: if we made a mistake, for example we placed your listing on the wrong page, or we did not deliver what you ordered, we fix it or refund you. If your #1 or #2 spot, or your dofollow link, is removed during the paid year and we cannot restore it promptly, we refund the unused part of the year.

Our content

The text, design, images and layout of the site belong to us or the people who license them to us. Business names, logos and trademarks belong to their owners.

Limitation of liability

The site is provided "as is". To the fullest extent the law allows:

  • we do not promise that the site will always be available or free of errors
  • we do not promise any number of visitors, calls, sales or search rankings from a listing
  • we are not liable for indirect losses, such as lost profits or lost business
  • if we are liable to you for anything, our total liability is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim

Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Wyoming, USA, without regard to its conflict of law rules.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. The date at the top shows the latest version. Changes apply from the date they are posted. A change does not alter the price or term of anything you have already paid for.
