How the scorecards work

Rating is the live Google star average for each business. Review volume is how many customers have rated it. Confidence weighs the rating by that volume, so a 4.5 from more than 150 reviews carries more weight than a 4.7 from a few dozen. Recency reflects how recently customers are still leaving reviews.

What do fireplace services cost in Albuquerque?

Fireplace costs depend on whether you need cleaning, repair, a new stove or insert, or a full installation, and on whether the existing fireplace is masonry or factory-built. We don’t quote local prices here. Ask for a written quote that separates the unit, the installation and any rebuild work.

Where these businesses work in Albuquerque

The addresses here are on Comanche Ln NE, University Blvd NE and Renaissance Blvd NE, while CR&G Fireplaces HVAC & Plumbing, LLC lists no street address and names Rio Rancho, Bernalillo, South Valley, Belen and Los Lunas on its site. Blaze King’s site says it serves Albuquerque and Santa Fe. Searching for fireplace services near me? Each listing has a phone number so you can confirm coverage.

What to ask before hiring a fireplace company

  • Is this a repair, a cleaning, or a new stove or insert installation?
  • Is my fireplace masonry or factory-built, and does that change what can go in it?
  • Will you give me the quote in writing, with the unit and the installation priced separately?
  • If an old fireplace has to be torn out or rebuilt to code, is that included?
  • Who do I call if something isn’t working after the job?

Frequently asked questions

Which Albuquerque businesses install new stoves and fireplace inserts?

Blaze King of New Mexico says on its site that it sells and installs stoves and inserts, and its reviewers describe wood, pellet and insert installations. A CBS Chimney Sweepers reviewer also describes a pellet stove installation.

Can an Albuquerque business maintain a gas fireplace?

CBS Chimney Sweepers lists gas fireplaces on its site, and a CR&G Fireplaces HVAC & Plumbing customer describes gas fireplace maintenance done alongside a heating repair. Ask whether the visit includes an inspection of the whole unit.

Do hearth stores in Albuquerque also repair fireplaces?

Blaze King’s reviewers describe buying and installation, and Mountain West’s describe shopping for stoves and pipe, rather than repair. One Mountain West reviewer mentions facing work done on a fireplace, and another says a gas heater service call went without follow-up, so ask the store directly.

Can I convert a wood-burning fireplace to gas logs?

One CBS Chimney Sweepers customer asked about the conversion during a chimney cleaning, so it is a question the company has fielded. Ask for the estimate in writing and a date for when it will arrive.

Choosing the right fireplace company

CBS Chimney Sweepers is the safest pick for inspecting, cleaning or restoring a fireplace, and Blaze King of New Mexico suits a new stove or insert. Whoever you call, get the scope and price in writing first.
