How the ratings are built

Every number on this page comes from public Google data on the date shown, not from opinion or payment. Rating is the live Google star average. Review volume is how many customers have rated the business, ranked against other Atlanta security companies. Confidence weighs the rating by that volume, so a 4.4 from thousands of people carries different weight than a 4.9 from a few hundred. Recency reflects how recently customers are still leaving reviews. No business can pay to change these numbers.

What goes into a home security quote in Atlanta? (2026)

None of these companies publish a full price list, so there is no cost table. What moves a quote is the number of doors and windows to sense, whether you want cameras, how much smart home gear is included, whether equipment is bought or provided under a monitoring plan, and the monthly fee for monitoring. Ask for the equipment cost, the monthly fee and the contract length in writing.

Where these security companies are based

These companies are spread across the metro: Ackerman in Peachtree Corners, American Guardian in Norcross, Premier Security in Marietta, and Alert 360 and The Camera Guys at Atlanta addresses. Searching for a home security company near me? Ask each one whether it installs and services your neighborhood.

What to ask before signing for a security system

  • Is monitoring under a contract, and what does it cost to cancel?
  • Who monitors the system, and who do I call about billing?
  • Which equipment do I own at the end, and what happens if I move?
  • Can cameras, door locks and smart home devices be added later?
  • How do I reconnect devices if I change my Wi-Fi or router?

Frequently asked questions

Is alarm monitoring in Atlanta sold on a contract?

It depends on the company. Premier Security’s website says its alarm monitoring has no contract. For the others on this page, ask for the contract length and the cancellation terms in writing before you agree to a plan.

Which Atlanta security companies install cameras as well as alarms?

An Alert 360 customer describes several cameras and two keypads installed with a new monitoring system, an American Guardian customer had app-controlled video surveillance installed, and Ackerman’s website lists indoor and outdoor cameras. The Camera Guys’ site and reviews are about camera systems.

Are these home security companies inside Atlanta city limits?

Not all of them. Ackerman is in Peachtree Corners, American Guardian in Norcross and Premier Security in Marietta, while Alert 360 and The Camera Guys list Atlanta addresses. Confirm they cover your address before booking.

Can I add smart home controls to a security system in Atlanta?

Ackerman’s website lists smart locks, lighting, thermostats and voice control, Premier Security’s lists smart home automation, and an Alert 360 customer upgraded an older alarm to a fully automated system with remote access.

Where to start
