How the scores work

Rating is each business’s live Google star average. Review volume is how many customers have rated it, compared across the tree services in this list. Confidence weighs the rating by that volume, so a 5.0 from a couple of hundred people counts for less than a 4.9 from thousands. Recency reflects how recently customers still leave reviews. No business can pay to change these numbers.

What does tree removal cost in Atlanta? (2026)

Reviews on this page praise pricing but don’t give dollar figures, so we don’t print a table. What moves the price: tree height and species, how close it is to a house or power lines, whether a crane or bobcat is needed, how hard the yard is to reach and whether stump grinding and haul-away are included. Ask for a written, itemized quote.

Where these crews work around Atlanta

Northside’s site says it covers the northern half of the metro, and TreeDog’s site lists Marietta, Roswell, Alpharetta, Dunwoody, Norcross and Lawrenceville. Everlast serves the Atlanta area without a street address. Searching for a tree service near me? Each listing carries a phone number and directions.

What to ask before a crew climbs

  • Are you licensed and insured, and can you send proof with the quote?
  • Does the price include stump grinding, wood removal and cleanup?
  • Will a certified arborist look at the tree before work starts?
  • Do you need a crane or other equipment, and is that in the quote?
  • Do you handle any permit a large tree might need?

Frequently asked questions

Who can bring a crane to a tree over my house?

Northside Tree Professionals lists crane services on its site, and Boutte Tree, Inc. is also listed on Google as a crane service. One Boutte reviewer had a very large poplar removed with a crane the morning after an inspection.

Why might stump grinding happen after the tree comes down?

A TreeDog Atlanta reviewer had a tree cut quickly, then waited for 811 to mark underground utility lines before the stump was ground. Ask whether the stump is part of your quote and when it will be done.

Can a tree company work near power lines?

A Boutte reviewer had a tree trimmed away from power lines and said the crew kept it healthy. Confirm with any company how it handles trees touching or near lines.

Which of these tree services travel outside the city?

Everlast Tree Services & Stump Grinding LLC lists no street address and serves the Atlanta area. TreeDog’s reviews mention jobs in Peachtree City and Lawrenceville, and Northside’s site describes the northern half of the metro.

Who to call first

Northside Tree Professionals is the safe default for large or complicated removals, and Boutte Tree and Southern Tree Pros are both listed on Google as arborist services. For simpler jobs, Everlast and TreeDog both hold 5.0 ratings. Get the quote in writing and check what it covers after the tree is down.
