How the scorecards work

The numbers shown for each exterminator come from public Google data on the verified date. Rating is the current star average. Volume is how many customers have rated the company relative to other Bakersfield pest control firms. Confidence adjusts the rating for sample size, and recency reflects whether people are still posting reviews. No business can pay to change these numbers.

What shapes a pest control bill in Bakersfield (2026)

We haven’t sourced a reliable local price table, so this page doesn’t print one. The things that move the cost are consistent: the pest (ants and spiders versus termites or a fumigation), the size of the home, whether you choose a recurring plan or a single visit, and whether wildlife or insulation work gets added. Reviewers describe everything from small routine visits to large fumigation jobs, which is why a written quote beats any average.

Pest control near you in Bakersfield and Kern County

The offices listed here sit on District Boulevard, Pegasus Drive, Q Street, New Horizon Boulevard and Fruitvale Avenue. Orkin’s branch page names a long list of Kern and Tulare County towns it serves, so if you’re searching for pest control near me from outside the city, check the coverage list. Dewey’s site also describes service across the area from its Bakersfield branch.

What to ask an exterminator before signing up

Is the treatment a one-time visit or a recurring plan, and how long is the contract?
What is the fee for follow-up visits between scheduled services?
Which products do you use, and are they safe around pets and children?
Is the technician licensed, and will I see the same person each visit?
Are there extra charges for re-inspections or for work like insulation removal?

Frequently asked questions

Do I need a recurring plan for pest control in Bakersfield?

Do these companies treat commercial properties?

Dewey, Wow and Bakersfield Pest Control say on their sites that they serve businesses. Orkin’s branch page says this branch is residential only.

The short version

Orkin is the safest default for a home on proven volume, while Wow Pest Control and Dewey are the local picks for responsiveness and a steady technician. Ask for the contract terms before the first spray.
