How the scores are built

Rating is the Google star average for each business. Review volume is how many customers have rated it, compared with other businesses in the same search. Confidence weighs the rating by that volume, so a 4.9 from hundreds of people counts for more than a 5.0 from a few dozen. Recency shows how recently customers are still leaving reviews.
