Read what each one is actually known for before you ask for a quote.

Our take: A perfect 5.0 on a sizable review base, but a different kind of company. Call it when panels need to come off the roof or a system needs service, not for a new install.

Understanding the scores

Every figure on this page comes from public Google data on the date shown. Rating is the live Google star average. Review volume is how many customers have rated the business, compared with other Denver solar companies. Confidence weighs the rating by that volume, so a 4.7 on hundreds of reviews carries real weight. Recency reflects how recently customers still review. No business can edit these numbers.

What shapes solar cost in Denver (2026)

Solar pricing depends on system size, roof condition and layout, the panels and inverter chosen, whether you add a battery such as a Tesla Powerwall, and how you finance it. Federal and utility incentives change over time, so ask each installer to itemize what is included and when any incentive deadline applies.

Solar installers across the Denver metro

All of the businesses here list Denver addresses, from Madison Street to Federal Boulevard to South Tejon Street. ARE Solar’s site says it serves the Front Range, and Smart Wave’s site covers Colorado and Utah. Searching for solar panel providers near me? Each listing shows a direct phone number and a map link.

What to ask a solar company

  • Who does the installation: your own crew or a subcontractor?
  • Who handles permitting, inspections and the utility’s permission to operate?
  • What warranty covers the panels, inverter and workmanship, and who services it if you leave?
  • If I need a new roof soon, can you remove and reinstall the panels?
  • Can you itemize battery options and what they back up during an outage?

Frequently asked questions

Who can remove and reinstall solar panels during a Denver roof replacement?

Solar RNR’s site lists detach and reset, and two reviewers had their panels taken down and reinstalled around roof replacements, one of them 19 panels. A Namaste Solar reviewer also had a system uninstalled for a hailstorm roof replacement and reinstalled afterward.

Which Denver solar companies install batteries?

Smart Wave Solar’s site says it is a certified Tesla installer for the Powerwall, and one reviewer said the Powerwall kicked in during an outage. Namaste Solar installed a Tesla battery backup for another reviewer, and ARE Solar’s site says it designs and builds solar and battery systems.

Who services a solar system that came with the house or was installed by a company that closed?

One Solar RNR customer inherited a system with problems and had the inverter replaced under warranty, paying only for labor. A Smart Wave Solar customer whose original installer disappeared had panels added and warranty service taken over.

Who handles the utility sign-off after the panels go up?

ARE Solar’s site says permitting, inspection and Permission to Operate are done in-house, and one reviewer described the Xcel coordination as smooth. Two Smart Wave reviewers were still waiting on Xcel and city approval after the install, so ask any installer for a realistic timeline.

Bottom line

Smart Wave Solar is the safe default for a new system with battery backup, with Namaste Solar and ARE Solar worth quoting beside it. Keep Solar RNR for existing panels that need service or a roof-replacement reset. Ask every installer who runs the install and who answers the warranty call.
