Our take: A comfortable call when the heater swap may touch other trades, like the electrical supply. Ask for the full installed quote so you can compare it with a second one.

How to read the scorecards

Each scorecard uses live Google data on the date shown. Rating is the Google star average, volume is the Google review count, and confidence weighs the rating by how many customers it rests on. Recency shows how recently people still review. A business cannot pay to alter these figures, and the notes about water heater work come from what customers and each company’s own site say.

What changes the price of a water heater job in Fort Lauderdale

Water heater quotes vary too much to fit a price table, so this page has none. The factors that move a quote are the type of heater (a standard tank, tankless or heat pump model), whether the space has to be modified to fit it, the age of the connections, and how fast you need the swap. Ask for an installed price, in writing, that includes removal of the old tank.

Water heater service across Fort Lauderdale

Paradise Plumbing, 4 Star Plumbing Services and John’s Plumbing list Fort Lauderdale addresses, and John’s Plumbing says on its site that it also serves Miami-Dade and Palm Beach counties. If you’re searching for a water heater plumber near me, each listing shows a phone number and directions.

Ask before you approve a replacement

  • Is the quote for the heater, the labor and haul-away of the old tank, all in one price?
  • Will you measure the space first to confirm the new model fits?
  • Do you install tankless or heat pump models, or only tank-type?
  • Is there a rebate or promotion on the model you recommend?
  • Can you come on a weekend, and does that change the price?

Frequently asked questions

Which of these plumbers lists tankless or heat pump water heaters?

4 Star Plumbing Services names tankless, hybrid heat pump, tank-type and pool heaters on its site. John’s Plumbing lists water heater installation and repair, and Paradise’s site mentions upgrading a water heater, neither naming tankless models, so ask them directly.

Will the installer check that a new heater fits my closet?

One John’s Plumbing reviewer describes an estimator who measured a small closet and checked with his supplier that a new model would fit, then an installer who helped work around the closet’s contents. It is one customer’s account, so ask for the same step when you book.

Does Paradise Plumbing, Air & Electric handle the electrical side of a heater swap?

Its site lists electrical services alongside plumbing and air conditioning, so one company can cover both. A customer who had a water heater replaced describes the installer and an office rep who checked in after the work.

Does 4 Star advertise a rebate on water heaters?

Its site lists a rebate program under water heaters. Ask which models qualify and what the terms are before you rely on it.

The short version

Paradise is the busiest name for a heater swap that may involve other trades, John’s has the clearest account of a measured replacement in a tight closet, and 4 Star names tankless and heat pump models on its site. Get an installed price in writing from at least two.
