What the scorecard shows

Rating is the live Google star average. Review volume shows how many customers have rated each painter, compared with the others on the page. Confidence weighs the rating by that volume, so a 4.9 from more than a thousand people carries more than a 5.0 from a few dozen. Recency reflects how recently reviews are still coming in.

What drives the price of a paint job

Painters price by the surface, the prep and the access, and the businesses here publish no flat rates. Interior and exterior work, trim, cabinets and repairs to rotted wood all price differently, and a quote should say which coats and which repairs it includes.

Painters who cover the Twin Cities

Headwaters Painting works from northeast Minneapolis, Roell Painting Company from Richfield, That 1 Painter Twin Cities from Golden Valley and Paris Painting from Brooklyn Center. Indy Painting lists Minneapolis, St. Paul, Edina, Bloomington and the Lake Minnetonka area on its site. Looking for painters near me? Each listing shows a phone number so you can ask who serves your street.

Questions to ask a painter before signing

Does the quote cover prep, priming and the number of coats?
Who is my day-to-day contact, and how often will I get updates?
Will you handle wood or trim repairs, or bring in a separate carpenter?
Is a color consultation or a final walkthrough included?
What warranty do you offer, and what does it cover?
