Reading the scorecard

Rating is the live Google star average. Review volume is how many customers have rated a business, compared with the others on the page. Confidence weighs the rating by that volume, so a 5.0 from a few dozen reviews counts for less than the same score from hundreds. Recency reflects how recently customers still leave reviews.

How renovation quotes are put together in Minneapolis

No prices are published here. A renovation quote depends on how many rooms are involved, whether walls or the roofline change, and what turns up once old finishes come off. One MCC reviewer describes unforeseen structural issues in an older house, so ask each contractor how unforeseen work is priced before you sign.

Renovation help for Minneapolis homeowners

These contractors take on work for Minneapolis homes; one is based in St. Paul and the rest list Minneapolis addresses. Searching for a renovation contractor near me? Each listing shows a phone number and directions so you can reach the closest option.

Before you hire a renovation contractor

Which trades will work on my project, and who coordinates them?
Have you renovated a house of the same age as mine?
How do you price surprises found behind walls or under roofing?
Can I see a finished project like mine and speak with that homeowner?
How will you update me on progress during the job?
