Buildmart Windows and Doors
Buildmart Windows and Doors is a family business that has sold, supplied and installed replacement windows and doors in Ottawa and the Grand Capital Region since 2006. It covers residential window replacement, windows for new homes, low-rise condo window replacement, entry and front doors, patio doors and porch enclosures, and it also supplies siding wholesale.
The office is on Sheffield Road in Ottawa. Windows are replacement grade and energy efficient, patio doors are built for Ottawa's climate, and front doors come in flexible design options. The company says its professional installation comes with a lifetime warranty.
What people praise
- One homeowner replaced 14 windows and a patio door, and the rep explained the products and the code requirements for their home rather than pushing a sale
- Installers are thanked by name for finishing a large job in two days and leaving everything clean
- A front door arrived with three deadbolts and was matched to the colour the customer asked for, with a peephole fitted
- Smart locks were installed along with a new door in one visit
- A customer of 10 years describes triple-pane windows with impressive efficiency and a team that does what it says it will do
Our take: Buildmart is our pick because it handles windows, entry doors and patio doors under one roof and customers describe the same pattern across very different jobs: clear advice before the quote, tidy installers, and doors fitted the way they were specified. It holds a 4.9 rating from more than 230 Google reviews, and one long-time customer has used it across several projects including their own home. For a mixed job, say a front door and a set of windows, it is the simplest single call.
