How the scorecards work

Every number on this page comes from public Google data on the date shown, not from opinion or payment. Rating is the live Google star average. Review volume is how many customers have rated the business, set against other countertop shops in the area. Confidence weighs the rating by that volume, so a 4.9 from 200 reviews carries more weight than a 4.9 from 60. Recency shows how recently people still leave reviews. No business can pay to change these numbers.

What drives countertop prices (2026)

No review or website prints a per-square-foot price, so this page quotes none. Price depends on the material (granite, quartz, quartzite or marble), the slab you pick, the number of cutouts and edge profiles, and whether the sink, backsplash or old-top removal are included. Ask each shop whether tear-out, the sink and a leveling check are in the written quote.

Where these shops are based

Element Granite & Quartz, Forever Marble and Philly Marble & Tile are based in Philadelphia, in the Northeast and on Washington Avenue. Wholesale Granite Marble & Tile is in Ardmore, and Stone Galaxy is in West Deptford, NJ. Looking for countertop installers near me? Each listing has a phone number and map link.

What to ask a countertop installer

  • Is removal of the old countertop included, or do I arrange it?
  • Will you check that my cabinets are level before you template?
  • Can I see the full slab, not just a sample?
  • Does the quote include the sink, cutouts and edge profile?
  • How many days pass between templating and installation?

Frequently asked questions

How long do countertops take to install after measuring in Philadelphia?

Reviewers of Forever Marble, Wholesale Granite Marble & Tile, Philly Marble & Tile and Element Granite & Quartz describe installation between a couple of days and about a week after templating. Ask your shop for its own schedule.

Who removes the old countertops before installation?

It depends on the shop. One Wholesale Granite Marble & Tile reviewer was asked to arrange tile countertop removal, while an Element reviewer said the crew removed 35-year-old laminate without damaging backsplash tile. Confirm tear-out in your quote.

Can a countertop shop in New Jersey or on the Main Line serve a Philadelphia home?

Stone Galaxy is in West Deptford, NJ, and Wholesale Granite Marble & Tile is in Ardmore. Neither states its Philadelphia coverage, so confirm it and ask whether travel is built into the quote.

Where to start

Element Granite & Quartz is the safe first call on proven volume, especially for a kitchen with something awkward in it. Forever Marble and Philly Marble & Tile are easy showroom visits in the city. Whoever you choose, confirm tear-out and leveling in writing.
