How the scorecards work

Rating is the live Google star average. Review volume is how many customers have rated the business, compared with the others in this city. Confidence weighs the rating by that volume, so a 4.9 from a hundred people counts for more than a 5.0 from fewer. Recency reflects how recently customers are still leaving reviews. No business can pay to change these numbers.

What shapes the price of pool service

No review quotes a full service price, so ask for a written estimate. Price depends on what you need: weekly maintenance, an opening or closing, a repair, or a renovation. Pool size, equipment such as heaters and salt systems, and the condition of the water all matter. Ask for a written estimate that separates labor from parts, and ask whether chemicals are included in a seasonal plan.

Where these companies work

None of these companies has an address inside the city. Evo Pool Service is in Willow Grove and its site lists Philadelphia, Bucks, Montgomery, Chester and Delaware counties. Summit Swimming Pools is in Ardmore, Blue Touch is in Abington and The Pool Experts is in Somerdale, New Jersey. Searching for pool services near me? Each listing shows a phone number so you can ask who covers your street.

What to ask before hiring a pool company

Is weekly service priced as a flat season fee, and are chemicals included?
What is included in an opening and a closing?
Who handles warranty service on the equipment you install?
Do you give a written estimate before repairs start?
Can you show a recent job like mine?
