We compared 18 window companies in Queens on Google Maps · 5 listed · How we rank

A rotted sash and a fogged double-pane unit are different jobs, and the window companies in Queens don't all do both. Between them these firms hold more than 1,800 Google reviews, with counts running from more than 140 to more than 640, but the list mixes a replacement seller, repair specialists, a supplier showroom and a glass shop, so what you need decides who to call.

Short answer: Prestige Window Works Repair & Installation, a Manhasset firm on Long Island, holds 4.9 from more than 640 reviews, and its site says most of its work is repairing windows and doors rather than replacing them. For full replacement, Major Homes Corporation in Bayside is rated 4.9 from more than 540 reviews. Most of these businesses do not publish prices, so get written quotes.

Our take: The better match for a whole-house window replacement than the repair-led names here.. Ask for the window brand and the installer's warranty in the quote.

Our take: A handy name for a cracked pane or a stuck skylight when you need it fixed fast. Don't expect a replacement-window showroom.

Reading the scorecard

Each figure comes from public Google data on the date shown. Rating is the live Google star average. Review volume is how many customers have rated the business, ranked against the others here. Confidence weighs the rating by that volume, so a 4.9 from hundreds of people carries more weight than a 4.9 from a few dozen. Recency shows how recently customers are still posting. No business can pay to change these numbers.

What window work costs in Queens

Only one of these businesses prints a price on its site, a starting figure for a single broken pane. Cost depends heavily on whether you repair or replace: fixing glass in an existing frame is a different job than ordering new units. Window size, brand, frame material, the number of units, permits and access in an apartment or attached house all move the quote. One reviewer who compared a national brand quote with Major Homes said the difference was large, so get at least two written quotes.

Where these companies are based

These firms are based in Bayside, Corona and South Richmond Hill in Queens, and in Manhasset and Floral Park in Nassau County. The Nassau firms are not Queens businesses, so confirm they cover your neighborhood. Searching for window companies near me? Each card shows a phone number and map link, which helps if you want a showroom visit in Corona or Bayside.

What to ask before a window quote

  • Can this window be repaired, or does the quote assume replacement?
  • Which brand and glass package is in the quote, and who installs it?
  • Do you handle permits for my building or town?
  • What warranty covers the glass units and the installation separately?
  • Is lead time for ordered windows in writing?

Frequently asked questions

Can rotted wood windows be saved instead of replaced?

Sometimes. A Prestige Window Works reviewer said it restored Marvin windows that had started rotting, and its site says most of its work is repair. Ask for a repair quote and a replacement quote so you can compare.

Which of these companies sells and installs new replacement windows?

Major Homes Corporation in Bayside lists double hung, casement, slider and bay and bow windows on its site. Monda Window & Door Systems in Corona is a supplier showroom, so ask who installs what you order.

Who do I call for a stuck skylight or a cracked pane?

Window Doctor Ny in Floral Park and Square Deal Glass Shop in South Richmond Hill both have reviewers describing repairs within hours. Confirm the visit window before booking.

Do I need a Queens address to work with these companies?

Not necessarily. Prestige Window Works and Window Doctor Ny are based in Nassau County, so ask whether they cover your Queens neighborhood and whether there is a travel charge.

Match the company to the job

Call Prestige Window Works when frames and glass can be saved, Major Homes for a full replacement, and Square Deal Glass or Window Doctor for a quick glass fix. Whoever you choose, get the work and warranty written down before you pay a deposit.
