Von's 1000Spirits
Von's 1000Spirits has been a downtown Seattle landmark since 1987, built around scratch sourdough pizzas, handmade pasta, and a bar stocked with over 1,500 spirits, including its own small-batch bourbon, gin, and vodka. Steps from Pike Place Market, it runs on a 75-year-old sourdough starter across its scratch kitchen. It also operates sister locations in Woodinville and Kirkland.
What people praise
- Sourdough pizza and handmade pasta customers keep coming back for
- Deep, well-stocked bar with signature Scratch Martinis
- Fast food delivery even during a busy dinner rush
- Central Pike Place location, easy to find
Worth knowing
- Gets loud when full, hard surfaces carry the noise
- Weekend waits are common without a reservation
Our take: The most-reviewed pub on this list by a wide margin, and the scratch kitchen backs it up. A safe first call for a downtown night out, just expect noise on a packed evening.
