How the scorecards work

Rating is the live Google star average. Review volume is how many customers have rated a business, compared with the others on this page. Confidence weighs the rating by that volume, so a 4.9 from hundreds of people carries more weight than a 4.9 from a handful. Recency reflects how recently customers still leave reviews.

What drives bathroom remodeling costs in St. Louis (2026)

Price depends on whether you’re replacing a tub, converting to a walk-in shower, refinishing or rebuilding the room, and on fixtures, wall panels and what turns up behind the walls. No prices are published here.

Bathroom remodeling across the St. Louis area

These businesses work from Creve Coeur, Olivette and Affton, and one refinisher serves St. Louis and Metro East. Bath Fitter’s site lists Clayton, Kirkwood, Webster Groves, Chesterfield, Ballwin and St. Charles among its service cities. Searching for bathroom remodeling near me? Each listing shows a phone number so you can ask who covers your address.

Questions to settle before the tub comes out

Is this a replacement, a conversion or a refinish, and what exactly stays?
How long will the install take, and what needs to be ready before the crew arrives?
What could change once the walls are open, and how would a change be priced?
Is the quote itemized, including add-ons like seats, shelves and glass doors?
What does the warranty cover, and for how long?

Frequently asked questions

Can a St. Louis tub become a walk-in shower in a day?

Reviewers of Bath Fitter describe tub-to-shower conversions finished in one day, and a Jacuzzi Bath Remodel customer describes a complete tear-out and install. Timing depends on the scope, so ask for the schedule in writing.

Is refinishing a tub the same as replacing it?

No. Refinishing, like the reglazing Bath & Kitchen Refinishing Saint Louis reviewers describe, restores the surface of the tub you have. Replacement from Bath Fitter or Jacuzzi puts in a new tub or shower.

Who handles a bathroom that needs more than a new tub?

More For Less Remodeling is the one here that reviewers credit with building a full bathroom from scratch in a basement. Bath Fitter and Jacuzzi Bath Remodel focus on the tub and shower.

What should I check before adding a shower seat or other extras?

Ask whether seats, shelves and glass doors are in the quote, and ask before install day how the walls behind the shower could change the plan.

Picking a bathroom remodeler

Bath Fitter carries the largest review base here, so it’s the natural first call for a tub or shower swap. Match the business to the job: More For Less for a rebuilt room, Jacuzzi Bath Remodel for a Jacuzzi shower, and Bath & Kitchen Refinishing Saint Louis if the tub only needs a new finish. Get the scope in writing before work starts.
