How to read the scores

Rating is the live Google star average. Review volume is how many customers have rated the business, compared with the other firms in the pool. Confidence weighs the rating by that volume, so a score built on more reviews counts for more. Recency reflects whether reviews are still arriving.

What moves a carpenter’s price

No prices are published here. Carpentry quotes depend on the materials, whether the piece is built to a custom design, how much demolition or repair comes first, and install time. A repair visit and a custom built-in are very different jobs, so give each carpenter the same description when you ask for estimates.

Carpenters serving the Buffalo area

Trident has a Genesee St address in Buffalo, while BEE PRO’s site describes the greater Buffalo area and No Illusion Woodworks’ site describes work in Buffalo. Queen City Builders lists only a phone number. Searching for a carpenter near me? Call and confirm your address is within reach.

Questions to ask a carpenter

Is this a repair, a rebuild or a custom piece built in a shop?
Do you handle painting and finishing, or only the carpentry?
Can I see photos of similar work?
What deposit do you require, and when does work start?
