What the scorecards measure

Rating is the live Google star average. Review volume is how many customers have rated the business, set against the others considered for this page. Confidence weighs the rating by that volume, so a 4.9 from hundreds of reviews carries more weight than a perfect score from a handful. Recency reflects how recently people are still leaving reviews.

What drives a siding quote in Columbia

No prices are published here. Siding quotes tend to depend on the square footage of the walls, the material (vinyl, fiber cement such as James Hardie, or other), how much old siding and trim must come off, any rot found underneath, and extras such as gable decor or new gutters. Ask for an itemized written estimate.

Where these contractors are based

Southern Industries lists a Columbia address, Crosby Roofing and Gutters is in Lexington, Vista Roofing and Midlands Roofing & Exteriors are in West Columbia, and CMS Roofing is in Irmo. Searching for siding contractors near me? Each listing below has a phone number and map link.

What to ask a siding contractor

  • Which material do you recommend for my home, and can I see a sample installed nearby?
  • What happens if rot or damage turns up under the old siding?
  • Does the quote include trim, flashing and removal of old siding?
  • Who manages the crew day to day, and how will you keep me updated?
  • What warranty covers the product and the labor?
