LEGOLAND® Windsor Resort
LEGOLAND Windsor Resort is a Merlin-owned theme park built around Lego, with the Miniland area recreating famous landmarks entirely out of the bricks. It sits just outside Windsor, around 40 minutes from central London by train, and describes itself as the UK's favourite kids' theme park with more than 55 rides and attractions plus three Lego-themed hotels.
What people praise
- Miniland's landmark detail draws praise from adults and kids alike, some visitors say they could stand there for ages
- Rides skew gentle, so nervous or younger riders and adults who'd rather skip the big drops can join in comfortably
- Shorter queues than the bigger thrill parks nearby, even during busy holiday periods
- Sunscreen dispensers and family-friendly touches noted approvingly by parents
Worth knowing
- Thin on genuine thrill rides if teenagers or adults want a big coaster fix
- A 0.9 metre height rule shuts younger children out of most rides
- One visitor reported some water fountains out of order during a hot spell
Our take: LEGOLAND has by far the largest review base of any park on this list, over 52,000, which pulls the average rating down slightly simply because more people means more mixed experiences. It's still the safest bet for families with children under 10.
