We compared 15 mattress stores in Philadelphia on Google Maps · 5 listed · How we rank

Mattress stores in Philadelphia are a mixed bunch: a single-brand showroom on Walnut Street, a chain outlet on Columbus Boulevard, and furniture stores that carry beds alongside sofas. The stores on this page have collected more than 4,700 Google reviews between them, with ratings from 4.7 to 5.0, so what sets them apart is mostly what each one actually sells.

Short answer: Raymour & Flanigan Furniture and Mattress Store has the most Google reviews here (4.7 stars, more than 2,300 reviews), but those reviews are about sofas and bedroom sets. For a store built around beds, look at Mattress Warehouse on City Lane Avenue (4.9, more than 780 reviews), the Tempur-Pedic Flagship Store on Walnut Street (5.0, more than 640 reviews) and Mattress Firm Outlet - Snyder on Columbus Boulevard (4.9, more than 600 reviews). Google doesn't show prices, so ask for the total with delivery.

What the scorecard measures

The numbers here are public Google data pulled on the date shown, not opinion. Rating is a store’s live Google average, and review volume is how many customers have rated it. Confidence weighs the rating by volume, so a 4.7 backed by thousands of ratings outweighs a 5.0 backed by far fewer. Recency reflects how recently people are still leaving reviews. No business can pay to change these numbers.

What drives mattress prices in Philadelphia?

Google doesn’t show prices for these stores, so there’s no price table here. Mattress totals depend on size, brand and construction, whether a foundation or bed frame is added, whether delivery and setup are included, and any bundle or sale running that week. Ask for the all-in number, and for the comfort-trial and return terms in writing.

What to ask before you buy a mattress

  • Is there a trial period, and who pays to return or exchange a mattress?
  • Does the price include a foundation, delivery and removal of the old bed?
  • Can I lie on the exact model, not just a similar one?
  • Is this store tied to one brand, or can you compare brands side by side?
  • What does the warranty cover, and what voids it?
