How the scores work

Rating is each company’s live Google star average. Review volume is how many customers have rated it, ranked against other garage door companies in the Atlanta area. Confidence weighs the rating by that volume, so a 4.9 from thousands of people carries more weight than a 5.0 from a few hundred. Recency reflects how recently customers are still leaving reviews. No business can pay to change these numbers.

What drives garage door repair costs in Atlanta (2026)

Garage door bills depend on the part, the time of day and whether you repair or replace. A broken spring or cable is a different job from a new opener or a whole door. Evening and weekend calls can cost more, and the service-call fee may or may not count toward the repair, so ask before the technician starts and compare the repair quote with a replacement.

Garage door repair across metro Atlanta

These companies work from Peachtree Corners, Buckhead, Kingsport Drive, Roswell Road and Marietta Boulevard, and their sites and reviews mention Sandy Springs, Mableton, Alpharetta, Duluth and Lawrenceville. Searching for garage door repair near me? Each listing shows a phone number and directions, so you can call whichever is closest.

What to ask before a garage door repair

  • What is the service-call fee, and does it count toward the repair?
  • Do you carry springs, cables and rollers on the truck?
  • Can you quote repair and replacement side by side?
  • Is there an extra charge for evenings or weekends?
  • What warranty covers the parts and the labor?
  • Will you check balance and safety sensors while you are here?

Frequently asked questions

Can a broken garage door spring be fixed the same day in Atlanta?

Reviewers say so. An Atlanta Garage Doors customer whose spring snapped at 7pm had it replaced by 9pm, and an Overhead Door customer whose door failed at 4:30am had it serviced the same day. Availability depends on the hour and the day, so ask when you call.

Are these garage door companies local or part of a national brand?

Overhead Door Company of Atlanta and OGD Overhead Garage Door are local operations of national brands. Atlanta Garage Doors, Sweet Home Garage Doors and A1 Garage Door Service describe themselves as local.

Who can replace an opener and set up the smartphone app?

An Atlanta Garage Doors reviewer had a new opener installed and the WiFi and app set up in the same visit. Overhead Door’s site lists a smartphone app, and a Sweet Home customer in Sandy Springs had a new opener installed at home.

Which of these companies serve the northern suburbs?

Sweet Home’s site lists Sandy Springs, Alpharetta, Roswell, Dunwoody and Brookhaven, and its reviews mention Mableton and Sandy Springs. Overhead Door’s site lists Alpharetta, Duluth and Canton among its areas, and A1’s site lists Buford, Duluth and Lawrenceville.

The bottom line

Overhead Door Company of Atlanta is the safe default on review volume, while Atlanta Garage Doors and Sweet Home Garage Doors are strong smaller names for springs, cables and openers. Whoever you call, get the repair-or-replace quote in writing and ask about weekend charges.
