How the numbers work

Every number on this page comes from public Google data on the date shown. Rating is the live Google star average. Review volume is how many customers have rated the store, compared against other Austin furniture stores. Confidence weighs the rating by that volume, so a 4.4 from thousands of people carries more weight than a 5.0 from a few hundred. Recency reflects how recently customers are still leaving reviews. No business can pay to change these numbers.

What does furniture cost in Austin?

Furniture prices vary too widely by piece to give one Austin range. What moves the total is whether you buy new, custom-built or used, the fabric or material, and delivery. Couch Potatoes’ site mentions 0% financing, and reviewers mention payment plans at Living Spaces and interest-free financing at Havertys, so ask each store what it offers.

Furniture shopping around Austin

The stores are spread across the metro: Living Spaces in Pflugerville, Couch Potatoes on N Lamar Blvd, Fresh Start Furniture on Kramer Ln, Mega Furniture on the S I-35 Frontage Rd and Havertys on W William Cannon Dr. Searching for furniture stores near me? Each listing carries a phone number and directions.

What to ask before you buy furniture

  • Is the piece in stock, or is it made to order, and how long does it take?
  • What does delivery and setup cost, and can old furniture be hauled away?
  • What does the warranty cover, and what is the reporting window?
  • Are fabric or material samples available to take home?
  • What financing or payment plans are offered?
